Brad Wilbur is fighting a brave battle after a recent cancer diagnosis, according to a GoFundMe launched by close friends Jason Hurta and Denis Mulroony, the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction at Parsippany High School.

Wilbur and his family face further financial hardship as Wilbur continues his treatment, the campaign says.

“While they need your thoughts and prayers, we decided to create this GoFundMe page and share it with friends, fellow coaches, former players, colleagues, etc.. to provide some much-needed financial support.”

Out of an initial $2,500 goal, an astonishing $12,000 has been raised within three days.

Words of compassion and support have flooded the fundraiser as well.

“Much love and respect to a man who showed me nothing but the same during my high school years as both my football and track coach,” one comment says.

“Brad Wilbur is one of the most genuinely incredible people on the planet,” another supporter writes. “Sending love, prayers and positive thoughts!”
